Do you have one of those articles of clothing that just literally goes with everything? You end up wearing it to it's death and are sad without it. For me, it's my utility vest. While it's no where near it's end yet, I'm surprised at how much I've worn it in Europe.
Since it's debut on the blog in August, this vest has seen almost seen all four seasons. It'y my go-to piece - it livens up any dull outfit, keeps me warm with layers, and it's incredibly versatile. Confession: I just realized that almost all of the outfits posted onto my Instagram in the past 6 months include the utility vest.
The vest that I have has been sold out on Boohoo.com since shortly after I purchased mine. I was able to track down a similar vest at Charlotte Russe on sale for about $32 though!
I've had this white lace tube dress for quite some time but never felt comfortable wearing it. To add some modesty, I added the military vest on top and threw on a pair of boots. It would be a great outfit for the late spring or late summer.
Other ways to wear: For early spring, you could wear it with some rain boots and add a cardigan underneath the vest. As the weather warms up, just switch out the boots for a pair of chic sandals!
For me, summer is all about breezy dresses and sandals. Throw this military vest over an easy dress to add a bit of edge to your outfit.
Other ways to wear: I would also wear the vest with a basic tee or tank and a pair of denim shorts. It would also looks chic over a simple romper!
Fall means jeans, boots, and scarves! I like dressing up a basic white tee (another one of my wardrobe staples) and jeans.
Other ways to wear: Layer a utility vest over your favorite flannel shirt or sweater.
I'm all about layers in the cold winter season! Throw a sweater and cozy scarf over your favorite summer dress, add some tights and a utility vest, and wah-lah! You'll be chic and warm enough to brave the frost!
Other ways to wear: Add a gray or black cardigan underneath to keep your arms warm!
How would you style an utility vest?
