There are some food combinations that are just meant to be. Chips and salsa. Macaroni and cheese. Peanut butter and jelly. Spaghetti and meatballs. Chocolate and raspberries. All of those are wonderful comfort foods but there is nothing better then fresh raspberries paired with chocolate.
Recently, I finally made an investment and purchased my first DSLR camera! I've been saving up money from sponsored posts for a while now and I figured it was time to start taking The Darling Daily more seriously, especially with the recent rebrand! When it finally arrived in the mail, I was ecstatic to start working on my newfound photography skills. A new camera calls for celebrations which to me means making a delicious chocolate raspberry ganache pie. Don't worry if you're not this generation's Betty Crocker. This recipe was so easy to make! However, I can't promise the same for your attempts to not drool on your computer while you look at these pie photos...
Of course I'm not good enough to create my own recipes quite yet so I gotta give credit where it is due. This wonderful recipe was created by Kraft Foods. Here's what you'll need:
2 packages (4 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces (I used Baker's)
1 cup whipping cream
6 tablespoons raspberry jam, divided
1 Oreo pie crust
2 cups fresh raspberries
1 tablespoon water
Microwave chocolate and cream on high for 2 minutes until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after each minute (make sure to use a microwavable bowl). Beat with whisk until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in 2 tablespoons of raspberry jam.
Pour the mixture into the Oreo pie crust and chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
Once pie is set, arrange the raspberries on top of the pie. Microwave the remaining jam and water for 30 seconds. Stir until well blended. Brush the jam onto the berries.
Serve and enjoy!
