Southern Comfort OOTD

Today I introduce the Georgian Southern belle, Vett, from Real College Student of Atlanta! It's almost like trading places with her this week, she's blogging here at the Darling Prepster (which is only kinda like visiting Ohio...right? ok, it's a stretch...) and I'm in Georgia for the week! Anyways, Vett blogs about, wait for it...Atlanta! Read her blog and you'll learn all the ins and outs of living the Atlanta lifestyle. From the food and restaurants to whats going on at her school, and everything in between! Definitely check out her blog!

Hey y'all! My name is Vett and I'm a college senior at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, also known as the Real College Student of Atlanta. I love sweet tea, fashion, monograms, sparkly items, writing, and all things southern!

I've put together one of my favorite looks in an OOTD called "Southern Comfort." I basically live in this type of outfit: a patterned top/dress, leggings, cowgirl boots, and a blazer. I'll occasionally include a scarf or other accessory, but people love this look that's so easy to pull off!

I love how this outfit works for just about any type of weather because you can add or remove layers, and it looks casual yet classy!

What's your go-to look?

---

Ah, cowboy boots, I should add those to my to-get list! Such a cute outfit, Vett! Thanks so much!

Today Darlings I introduce you to Ally, the adorable blogger over at Sunny Sweetheart! Ally has recently been playing around with using .gifs to show off her style! Go to her blog to learn how to create .GIF outfit posts! So cool! Today, we're switching blogs! I'm over at her blog showing you how to color block and she'll be showing us Spring Break essentials, that is, unless you're building a house on a Habitat for Humanity trip ;]

Sunny Sweetheart's Spring Break Fashion Essentials

Hello, hello! My name is Ally from the blog Sunny Sweetheart. I'm so excited to be guest posting on Ashliegh's fabulous blog while she is on spring break. I also happen to be on spring break as well and wanted to share with a few of my spring break fashion essentials that I have taken with me this week!

Since I am spending my vacation both Las Vegas and Denver, my essentials are meant for warmer weather. (And boy am I glad, because it's been pretty cold where I'm from!)

For day:
printed tops and dresses, a versatile pair of denim shorts, and sandals

Poolside:
a mint bikini (who can say no to bows?), a hot pink cover-up, a floppy hat, and leopard printed flip flops

At night:
body-con dress, platforms to make your legs look mile-high, a chunky bracelet, and coral earrings

Thank you Ashliegh for letting having me over today!

Thanks so much, Ally! I love all the mint green items! Coordinating your colors definitely helps for going from day to night!

With Love,
Ashliegh

How to Add Print to Your Outfit [Guest Post]

Darlings, may I introduce Mary to you!? Darlings, Mary. Mary, Darlings. Mary blogs at Style That Moves, one of my favorite blogs and I hope you go check our her blog! Like me, she is a college girl on a budget and, man, does she work her wardrobe to the max! I am definitely inspired by her style.

---

Hello Darling Prepster readers! Let me introduce myself: I'm Mary and I blog over at Style That Moves about expressing my style on my limited budget. If you follow my blog, you've probably noticed that I love bright colors and fun prints. I can't seem to put on an outfit without adding a bit of color or a pop of print. Here are some of my favorite ways to add prints to your outfits: 007
Start small with a pair of shoes or scarf.
Style That Moves- In Real Life.
Layer under a neutral top.
009
Try a patterned top.
15 x 15 Day 11
Mix patterns (polka dots and stripes are my favorite!).
Style That Moves-dress3
Go all out with a patterned dress (extra points if it's a maxi).
014
Feeling bold? Try patterned pants! Be sure to stop by Style That Moves to see how else I wear my prints! Thanks for having me Ashliegh!

Thanks for guest blogging today, Mary!

With Love,
Ashliegh

Spring Break Farewell

The day has finally come - Spring Break! Finally! I never thought it would be here! Later today, I will be hoping on a bus with 40 other AU students to begin out travels to Georgia! I am so incredibly excited to spend spring break with Habitat For Humanity for the third year in a row!

This photo was taken during spring break 2012. The house in the background is the first house I helped build during spring break 2011.

See you in a week!

Pop of Color

Cardigan: Gift
Blazer: Macy's
Jeans: Express
Shoes: Borrowed from a sorority sister
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Bracelet: Gift

There is one mid-term, 1 paper, 4 hours of work, and 48 hours standing between me and Spring Break! (I'm not counting or anything...)

For this outfit, I felt a little weird wearing a cardigan under a blazer but I love the polished yet relaxed image it gave!

What I Wore: International Badge Day

Button Up: Old
Dress: Sponsor: eShakti
Tights: Walmart
Shoes: Borrowed from a sorority sister

Yesterday was International Badge Day in the sorority world and sorority women all over the world showed off their sorority badges. Of course, being a sorority woman myself, I decided to wear this gorgeous striped dress from eShakti! You can read the review I did on this online shop, here. Yet again, the fit of this dress is perfect. I love the easy customization this company offers! Now, you can get 20% off your order at eShakti from now until march 10th with code DRLNGPREPS.

I love this dress so much and  I can't wait for warmer weather so I can lose the tights and throw on some wedges and sandals!

Sorority women, did you participate in International Badge Day?

With Love,
Ashliegh
