Packing List: Cruise Vacation!

In just a few days I'll be leaving the cold winter wasteland that is Ohio and embarking on a road trip to sunny Florida! Three of my sorority sisters and I planned a cruise with Norweigian Cruise Line this past summer and it has been my light at the end of the tunnel this whole semester. This will be my very first cruise and I cannot be more excited...and nervous! I have no idea what to expect! You bet your pretty penny that I've done countless hours of research for what to wear on Pinterest!

My suitcase hidden in the depths of my closet has been beckoning to be packed. Here is my packing list for next week's trip! Did I forget anything?!

What advice do you have for a first time cruiser?

With Love,

  1. Ooh, how exciting!! I've always wanted to go on a cruise! :P

  2. I've been on 3 cruises (2 Royal Caribbean & 1 Carnival) and all were super fun! Just an FYI, you can get towels on the ship to take off for your excursions-- if you don't have room to pack a towel. Plus then you don't have to worry about bringing a big sandy/wet towel back in your suitcase! Check out the shows they have, some you may love and some you might not. Definitely eat in the dinning room at night. You can do the buffet for breakfast and lunch, but enjoy a "fancy dinner" It's included and there's no reason not to do it.

Make sure to bring your camera (didn't see it on the list)! Just have fun! I really do enjoy cruises! Where will you go on yours? I've heard great things about Norwegian!!

  3. I'm jealous! I want... NEED to go on vacation!

  4. have a great time!! cruises are our favorite vacation! we always go on royal caribbean but its always too much fun! i can't imagine you'll need your umbrella but if its a small one i don't see why not just incase! camera for sure! but your list is pretty set! enjoy!!

  5. lucky you!! I wanna go somewhere warm!

  6. Have fun! Do you know if you get sea sick? My family went on cruises often when I was little. I always got horribly sea sick so now I usually opt out now. I would recommend that you I'd bring Dramamine or if you can get in to see a doctor they can prescribe motion sickness patches which do a wonderful job.

  7. I know you are probably already back from your trip (I'm so far behind on my blog reading, stupid finals) but I hope you had an AMAZING time on your cruise!

  8. It is also important to arrive at the pier at least two-three hours before the scheduled departure time of a cruise.
